Coaches & therapists share a common goal - to support a person in their well-being & personal outcomes in the journey called Life. While each may use similar strategies, there are clear boundaries between a coach & a therapist.
Note: In some instances, I may lovingly recommend therapy to a coachee if they are not already seeing a therapist. I reserve the right to delay, suspend, &/or end the coaching process until a person receives necessary therapy.
A therapist and/or other clinical healthcare supports and/or treats folx who are struggling with:
These matters impact or interfere with daily living & need to be addressed more urgently.
A coach supports folx who are:
Coaching is about living the life you want to live, in the fullness of who are, here & now, in honor of your past self & in service of your future YOU.
Therapy & Coaching work great together & often complement a person's growth depending on where they are in their journey.
A life coach is not a substitute for a therapist or other clinical provider.
Many people have a therapist and a coach!
Please seek the support of a mental/health care professional to address prescriptions, procedures, or persistent struggles with trauma.
